Just Press Play Productions is the leader in providing the new and popular "iPod DJ service."  You choose the music, make your playlists and we connect it to our Bose Speaker Systems.

Plenty of availability in 2012 for January-April and November-December.  This is for Chicagoland area only. 

If you were to use our "MC Service" with the "iPod and Music Service" we can provide service for most receptions for less than $600. 

This service is, in our opinion, far better than a regular DJ service because you get to choose all the music ahead of time and there is no chance for the DJ to insert "their own style" of music into YOUR reception. 

With our iPod and Music Service, there is no list for you to pick from, as long as the song is in print we can include it in your playlist.  We have several other options which are more affordable and below is some additional information about those Just Press Play services.

iPod DJ Systems!
This is our most popular rental. With the use of any music player that has a place to plug headphones into and your music playlists for the party, you are in control…Just Press Play!

We offer two different types of iPod DJ service. 

Basic Service:

You provide any music player with a headphone plug and designate one or more people to press play and pause on your player and turn on the microphone when needed.  We will deliver and set-up the Bose PA systems, connect your player and instruct the designated people how to use the PA systems (takes 15 minutes).  You use the PA systems as long as you need for no additional charge.  Also comes with a wired microphone and microphone stand.  This service starts at $190.  This is the most affordable package.

MC Service:

Similar to our Basic service except we supply an emcee to make announcements and operate your player for you so you don’t have to designate someone.  This service is a $30 per hour.  Still very affordable and leaves less for you to have to worry about.  

Want to meet with your MC in person before your event?  You can hire them for a one hour consultation at your local coffee shop for only $50.  

Additionally we can even provide the iPod and the music with either package.

iPod & Music Service:

You choose the music ahead of time and we create the playlists for you.  This service can be added to either the Basic Service or MC Service for only $150.  

Wireless Microphones:

These are perfect for weddings.  They make announcements and toasts easy as you can carry the mic anywhere in the room and turn it on when you need it and turn it off when you are done with just the push of a button.  They rent out for $50 for the entire event.  We also have a wireless lapel mic for your wedding officiant and this can be switched to a wireless handheld mic later on for the reception.  This rents out for $60 for the entire event.

Light Shows:

These add movement and excitement to your dance floor. 

The Basic Light Show:  Two colored dancing light fixtures on a stand, this rents out for $50. 

The Deluxe Light Show:  Two colored dancing light fixtures, a strobe light and a mirrored ball effect light (Disco Ball) on one stand, this rents out for $100.    

The White Light Show:  A Mirrored ball effect light and a strobe light.  This is for those who don't want any colored lights on their dance floor and rents out for $50.   

The Mirrored Ball effect light rents out for $40 or can be added to any package for an extra $10.

Musicians:

If you are having musicians playing for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or even during the reception, we can provide amplification for them as well.  We can provide a separate PA, microphones, microphone stand, music stands, mixer with reverb, direct inputs etc.  You can have the musicians call us and we can take care of all their needs.  This will save you $100 or more off of their price in many cases.

Multiple Locations:

Another option available with Just Press Play Productions is having more than one PA system to have music and the ability to make announcements in two different areas.  For example; one system outside for the ceremony and then a second one inside for the reception.  Or if you want to save a few dollars and you don't mind a short downtime, we can even move the one system from one location to another.

*Notes about the iPod DJ Service:

...We are not wedding or event coordinators.  You are responsible for your schedule.  If you need someone to keep everything on time you should look into hiring one of our receomended wedding or event planners which can be found on our "Links" page.

...Interested in having backup equipment in case something goes wrong?  Ask about reserving a double system setup for your wedding.  This will allow you better sound coverage, especially for parties over 100 guests, but will also provide a backup.  Our Bose systems have never failed us yet.  But it is always better to be safe than sorry.  A single system can handle rooms up to 200-300 for background music and up to 150-200 people for dancing.  So if one system does have an issue you have a backup.
